Can eczema be related to food?

Food has been found to be a consistent factor. We can assess which foods the child is reacting to and begin the treatment during their first visit. Common foods that contribute to their symptoms are wheat, dairy and sugar.

Behavior

Common behavioral symptoms:

Difficulty concentrating, focusing, listening, following directions or sitting still; defiance, irritability, sleepiness, fatigue, hyperactivity, moodiness, bed-wetting and tantrums.

Behavioral conditions:

Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Behavioral conditions in children:

Your child does not have to be “diagnosed” with a behavioral disorder to benefit from these treatments. Many children display some common symptoms associated with food sensitivities.

We are passionate about helping children function at their optimum and have seen consistent clinical results in this area by treating food substances that were contributing to behavioral symptoms.

We address symptoms associated with conditions like ADD, ADHD and other behavioral conditions; however, we do not treat the condition directly.

Allergens We Address

Did you know rashes may be an allergy symptom?

Many rashes are hard to diagnose. Common triggers we address include:

  • Sugar
  • Milk Products
  • Wheat
  • Animal Dander
  • Dust Mites
  • Plant Phenolics
Did you know food can also contribute to Asthma?

Common food triggers are:

  • Milk Products
  • Wheat
  • Sulfur Dioxide (Preservative 220)
Did you know babies with eczema may be reacting to breast milk or formula?

If the baby is being breast-fed, he/she could be reacting to food substances the mother is eating going through the breast milk. In these cases, we assess multiple food groups to identify if this is a source of discomfort for the child. When the child is on formula, the ingredients will be assessed.

What does a constant runny nose mean?

Many children have a runny nose on a regular basis, possibly year-round. It is often blamed as teething, or parents think their child has a cold (again!). However, it could be allergies. Common allergens include food, such as milk products, or airborne substances like dust or pollen.

Patient Testimonials

Kara Wyatt

This has to be the best, needle-less answer to allergies. Not only has Caleb been able to help my allergy headaches over the years, he resolved a terrible bloody nose issue that my daughter would experience with her seasonal allergies. Caleb has also helped in resolving a hormonal acne issue I had last year that occurred after coming off the birth control pill. I don’t understand the method, but WOW if it doesn’t work.

Laura Boyher

I would recommend that anyone dealing with allergies be treated by Caleb Gates. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and he is great with kids. I look forward to him treating my allergies.

Food Sensitivities, Digestive Symptoms, IBS
My two-year-old son had terrible food allergies and eczema. It covered his wrists and back of the knees. After just a few minutes of scratching he would be covered in blood. He had sores all over his legs so bad we had to put tights on under his pants to keep him from getting to his legs.
Things are so much better now. Caleb cleared Bodhi of 95% of his food allergies. His skin is soft and free of sores. He can eat most anything now and life is much less stressful.
