What to Expect for Your Appointment

Book Your Appointment

What to Expect from Your Initial Assessment, Treatment, and Follow-up Appointment

At your first appointment, we will:
  • Document and discuss your personal health history
  • Review your previous test results (if any)
  • Complete a Comprehensive Allergy Assessment
  • Treat one Allergen Family (e.g. pollens or dairy )
  • Explain each step of the treatment process throughout the appointment

You are welcome to bring past medical allergy test results (skin or blood test results), but these are not necessary for our assessment and treatment. Your allergist will take a detailed case history and discuss the reasons for your visit. During the consultation, each step of the treatment will be explained to you.

At the end of your Initial Assessment & Treatment, you will have a customized allergy treatment plan to address each allergen family that is causing your adverse reactions. This treatment plan will be prioritized to alleviate symptoms as quickly and effectively as possible. The number of sessions required depends on the number of items causing a reaction.

Appointment Information:

Cost:

The initial session is $150, which includes a complete allergy assessment and one treatment.
Follow-up treatments are $90.

Health Insurance:

We do not take health insurance. If you have allergy coverage, you can submit a superbill. HSA and FSA can be used to pay for treatments. No referral is required to schedule an appointment.

Can I have more than one treatment in a day?

Yes. Two treatments can be completed in one day. However, there must be at least 2 hours between sessions.

Other Medications:

Do NOT stop taking medication that has been prescribed by your medical doctor without his/her authorization. If you are taking over the counter medication to control your current symptoms, it is fine to continue taking it. Medication will NOT affect the treatment.

Cancellations:

Durango Allergy Relief has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you must cancel an appointment, it should be done no later than 24 hours prior to the appointment; otherwise, a cancellation fee will be charged. The cancellation fee is $60 and will be collected at the time of your next appointment.

Prior to your first appointment, please:

Please allow one hour for initial appointments. As a courtesy to others, do not smoke or wear perfume or fragrances prior to coming to the clinic.

  • Complete the Basic Health History Forms ( GET FORMS )
  • Hydrate well
  • Please wear clothing to the appointment that covers the entire back.
  • Pharmaceutical and over the counter medications will NOT affect the treatment.
  • If you have other therapies (massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, etc.) scheduled on the same day as the AAT treatment, you should schedule those therapies PRIOR to the AAT treatment.
  • If you are experiencing an acute stage of illness (including an elevated temperature), please contact the clinic to reschedule the appointment.

What to expect during follow-up appointments:

Many cases respond quickly to the treatment and achieve long-term results within the first few treatments. On average, you may require 5-12 treatments to relieve your symptoms or resolve a condition.

Each follow-up appointment will take about 30-45 minutes. We will retest to ensure the previous treatment was successful. We will then determine which allergen family to treat next, complete treatment and schedule your next appointment if necessary.

Are there any guarantees that my symptoms will be relieved?

Due to the unpredictable nature of allergies, sensitivities and the immune system, AAT cannot guarantee any results, the majority of our patients respond favorably to the AAT treatment on a long term basis. Durango Allergy Relief cannot guarantee that new symptoms associated with allergies/sensitivities will not develop in the future.

Can you treat for anaphylactic symptoms?

Durango Allergy Relief does not treat substances that have caused or been diagnosed as causing an anaphylactic reaction.

Patient Testimonials

I would advise anyone who has used allergy medications or has gone through allergy shots for years with little relief to consult with Caleb at Durango Allergy Relief Center. Their treatments helped me after more than two decades of medications and three years of shots. More energy; breathing is easier; seasons don’t determine my outside activities.

Sinusitis
Sinus headaches constantly, mouth breather, lack of energy, allergy medication daily. Allergy shots for three years prior to Advanced Allergy Therapeutics treatments.
More energy, have not taken any allergy medication in over four months. Sinuses opened up a lot. Nighttime snoring has reduced 95%, according to my wife. I have less mouth breathing.

I wish that more people who don’t think of their symptoms as typical allergies would come to Caleb for help. The medical community could not help me. Caleb’s treatments gave me back my energy, my feeling of good health and my smile!

Food Sensitivities, Digestive Symptoms, IBS
I was very ill when I came to Caleb, and I could barely eat any food. My first two treatments made a very dramatic change, and I was on my way back to good health!
Caleb found that I was reacting to many foods, pollens, mold, barometric pressure, etc. After treatments, I have my energy back and feel great.
